Inspired by SMART city vision, we have started a venture to improve city transportation focused on Auto Rickshaw segment. Due to lack of availability of efficient or any booth facility at high demand areas, a very large base of customer suffers while commuting by Auto rickshaw, especially in high demand areas like railway stations, bus stands, main markets etc. because more than 90% of Auto rickshaw customers still uses offline channel to meet their daily commuting needs. Overcharging by auto rickshaw driver and Safety are the two prime concerns for these customers. From an Auto rickshaw driver’s perspective, time & resource wastage in searching for customers and empty return to their base stands after dropping the customer are two major problems drivers face. These problems leads to less number of daily trips and to maintain their daily earnings, they overcharge. Due to lack of technology & efficient processes, existing pre-paid booth are not capable of solving the problem at mass scale. To solve these problems, we have developed an innovative product called ‘SMART Booth’. It is a technology powered product that will be installed in high demand areas like railways stations, bus stands, airports, main markets etc. to cater the masses. Innovative processes powered by software & Google Maps enabled smart screens makes booking cycle faster, paperless & cashless and makes this product highly scalable. SMART Booth is the first of its kind which also bridges the existing gap between mobile app based users and non-application based drivers by connecting them in real time using technology and physical structure.
