Indian healthcare is currently in critical state where the doctor to patient ratio is highly skewed. With latest advances in IT sector with Mobility, Analytics and Machine Learning has not penetrated into the healthcare domain. Whatever softwares or cloud based solutions are available are priced very high and lack features which could ease doctors workflow. These have been designed with minimal involvement of end customer, in this case doctor. That has lead to use of these softwares mostly by support staff. With doctor resorting to old way of using pen and paper. Key reasons for this is the solutions have not focussed on reuse or on adding intellisense to the solutions. Appment is one of the few solutions which focuses on thse features and therefore making it necessary tool for the doctors. We have primarily focused on following features:1. Reduce diagnosis time: We have developed a unique solution which allows for mapping of diagnosis, tests and other aspects for doctor to be able to complete documenting in less than 10% of time they earlier used to take. There are option for voice assistance, languages etc. 2. Appointment management: The idea is to allow doctors to run their clinics with minimal reliance on support staff. We have provided various channels to book appointment which include SMS, app based, web based. We have seen the benefits of this in clinic we implement. The patient were able to get instant confirmation and doctors also get a clear view of the appointments he has for the day. 3. Patient management: Clinics with assistant's generally have patients waiting with little information on how long they have to wait. Appment leverages ibeacon technology to guide patient from the time they enter the clinic by pushing contents they can go through, or fill forms and also automatically checking in. This gives them a clear view on when they would be meeting the doctor. This works for doctor also as he knows of the patients who are waiting to meet him 4. Communication platform: One of the basic problem in Indian healthcare was that doctor's private numbers were getting shared and this was leading them getting calls all through the day with very little private time. This has a very bad impact on their mental health. We have designed a Chat platform which provides them to recieve messages within a configurable time slot. It also allows them to delegate recieving and responding to this by their subordinate doctors. Doctor's who have adopted this platform have already appreciated this platform as now they can use Whatsapp just for private chatting and have private time with family. Also, any document that patient shares on this platform is automatically attached to patient's history and available to doctor when patient visits him. A chat bot is being worked on to answering of some simple queries based on past responses of doctors... 5. Symptom check: A platform is available to doctors to created some tools which can help their patients do checks on their help 6. Notifications: Platform has abondunce of notifications for both doctors and patients. 7. Analytics: We have been working on providing a platform for doctors to use their data in understanding effectiveness of their treatments and fine tune it. We help with SEO for doctor and allow get him more visibility on internet. We are currently adding video consulting to the platform to allow doctors to utilise their spare time.
