With growing disease burdens, including Covid-19, access to rapid and accurate diagnostics, that is also affordable, is the need of the hour in a country like ours. For a population of over 1.3 billion, there are only around 400 PCR machines in our entire country. Distance between the place where the test is conducted and where it is sent for diagnosis due to limited PCR Labs also leads to delay in reporting and make these tests expensive. This has kept HCPs deprived from doing many “confirmatory” tests in infectious diseases Many doctors are unaware of the complete benefits of Molecular Diagnostics & Point-of-Care technologies, that can change the way physicians make therapy choices for their patients in India. There is huge unmet need of early and accurate diagnosis of multiple diseases currently in India, and majority of Indians, who live beyond the metros, currently do not have access to these services. Rivaara is committed to address current and future unmet needs of clinicians and patients in India, for quick and actionable healthcare information to improve the overall quality of life of Patients Rivaara Labs mission is to be the leading and most trusted Molecular Diagnostics and Point of Care technology provider in India, across infectious diseases, oncology, antibiotic resistance, pathogen detection, inherited disease testing and precision medicine, enabling doctors and patients to achieve timely and superior clinical outcomes. We provide an opportunity for hospitals to set up RT-PCR labs, that is, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, and extensive tests services, by setting up a central reference lab and mass labs across 70-80 cities across metros, tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India. Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities are currently underserved by existing players leading to longer waiting time and expensive testing. The test menu from Rivaara is an innovative and offers high volume tests with quick turnaround time at mass labs and wide comprehensive suite at central labs. Currently, high prices of these tests, are a key barrier to the usage of molecular testing in India. Rivaara will focus on creating value for money for patients, as more than 50% of its test menu consists of multiplex panels. This high value, niche tests will address the need of the underserved test segments, and may lead to reduction in price by competitors too This will be provided by a strong network of specialized Molecular Diagnostics labs, novel point of care solutions and build a best in class national reference lab, providing relevant, actionable, rapid and accurate diagnostics at an affordable cost to benefit patients Rivaara will also address to the increased demand for molecular diagnostics driven by government initiatives, which focus on encouraging the use of molecular diagnostics, as means of testing, especially for infectious diseases (e.g. Covid-19, TB, HIV, infection, Hepatitis B/C etc.) Rivaara will address the limitations of the currently existing lab models in the country. Rivaara’s Next-Gen sequencing platforms will also address the burden of genetic disorders in India. Early screening of pregnancy can be made a regular practice with Rivaara’s platform can reduce this burden in India, where cost and access is a major constraint
