In India, each household generates upto 5 kgs of discarded plastic waste every month. This plastic ends up at a nearby landfill and takes upto 1000 years to decompose, causing irreparable damage to our planet in the process. SparkLiv Innovation Pvt Ltd (SIPL) has a mission to give a purposeful after-life to this plastic. SparkLiv is collecting clean plastic from households, shredding and extruding it into lumbers and then converting lumbers into furniture like table, chair, racks, stools, planters, etc. SparkLiv is planning to launch this furniture commercially. Thus, SIPL aims to create a socially and financially sustainable business model of plastic waste recycling.
