We are a company which started as a business correspondent to private bank and financial institution initially in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The company with a mission of "Serving The underprivileged" has already set up eight branches in areas around Gorakhpur and Varanasi, UP. The basic intent is to enhance the MFI industry of the big players in the industry who have immense capital but lack behind due to sincere human efforts and dedicated resource. Swabhimaan is trying to make ends meet and use the resources of the big market players to make it reach the actual needy to provide and grow rural employment. Swabhimaan has already initiated the process and will be setting up more branches as and when required, which will cover other states in the near future. In the process to make small loans available for rural self employment, Swabhimaan itself employing a huge human resource to fulfil its Mission of "Serving the people". The directors of the company are Mr. Karunesh Nigam and Mrs Arti Bajpai, who are the shareholders as well. Mr. Karunesh Nigam, a Research associate from IIM Ahmedabad, is an ex-banker heading Uttarakhand and UP for Jana Small Finance Bank. One among the team who wrote the banking application for Jana, his incentive policy has been taken up by Harvard Business School for Its MBA students. His previous corporate experiences includes Mercer HR Consulting, ICICI Bank, etc. Mrs. Arti is a post graduate in personnel management from Pune University and in Science from Vinayaka Mission University, Salem, Tamil Nadu. She had qualified civil services written examination. Having around 12 years corporate and academic experience, she has successfully handled corporate HR profile. Along with her banker husband, she has set up Swabhimaan with the aim to create more female entrepreneurs from rural background by providing them financial support.
