Tavashtr Technologies Private Limited is a software engineering startup focused on building a highly optimized, Linux-based desktop operating system along with an integrated software ecosystem. The company is also developing a cross-platform office suite comprising a word processor, spreadsheet software, presentation tool, and PDF editor. The Tavashtr Operating System (OS) is designed to be beginner-friendly, efficient, and stable. Existing desktop operating systems often face user dissatisfaction due to bloatware, forced ecosystem lock-in, performance issues, and limited long-term hardware support. Tavashtr OS addresses these challenges through a minimal yet complete set of essential applications and a simple, modern, and intuitive interface designed for high productivity. A key innovation is its dedicated app store, which reduces traditional Linux compatibility issues by enabling developers to publish applications or opt for a paid certification process to ensure they are fully tested and optimized for Tavashtr OS. The company plans to monetize through paid on-demand Long-Term Support (LTS), enterprise deployment services, and future collaborations with OEMs to launch devices with Tavashtr OS pre-installed. The Tavashtr Office Suite will include cross-platform desktop and web-based applications, ensuring accessibility across platforms. MS Office often faces issues with document compatibility, especially with .docx files, and lacks native availability on Linux. LibreOffice also struggles with outdated interfaces, limited collaboration, weak mobile and web support, and insufficient macro capabilities. Our office suite aims to overcome these limitations using frameworks like Tauri, delivering efficient applications with web compatibility. It will offer advanced formatting, collaboration tools, automation, templates, and an integrated PDF editor with features such as annotation, e-signature, merging, and page management. Both will enable widespread adoption.
