Valantech Solutions Private Limited is a Kolkata-based Software Development and IT Service provider company building Suljhaoo — a mobile-first multilingual SaaS, family-aware business management platform for India's unregistered kirana stores and composition-scheme MSMEs. India has approximately 1.3 crore traditional kirana stores and over 7 crore MSMEs, of which a vast majority remain either GST-unregistered or registered under the composition scheme — meaning they are below the threshold for ITC and are therefore systematically under-served by mainstream accounting and fintech tools. These businesses run on memory, paper khata, scattered WhatsApp messages, and verbal updates, leading to financial blindness, credit-cycle stress, family misunderstandings, and an inability to negotiate with distributors or borrow from formal lenders. Suljhaoo solves this by giving each shopkeeper a simple, offline-first, multi-device, multi-language application that records sales, udhaar, daily galla, supplier purchases, expenses, stock, staff, documents and home-delivery in one place — with role-based views for the owner, the spouse, the son or manager, and the staff. Reports surface real-time financial health, payment reminders are auto-sent to customers and suppliers, and the system syncs offline transactions to AWS and Google Drive when the device reconnects. The product is being dogfooded today at Gupta Confectionery, the founder's own family-run kirana — a 350 sq ft store run by Vishal Gupta, his wife, son and seven staff. The lived insight from 25 years of running a kirana, combined with a Retailers Association of India post-graduation and an in-house Flutter + Java Spring Boot team, gives Suljhaoo a moat that is not just technological but behavioural — the product is simple enough for a 65-year-old to use and clear enough for a 9-year-old to understand.
