The PCOS Virago is an organization which is committed to providing the right knowledge, support, and services in health, medical, fitness, and wellness for PCOS affected girls and women. The current woman epidemic of India which affects 1 out of every 5 women in India, about 50% teenage girls in India and about 63% teenage girls in the USA and Australia is PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) which is a hormonal and infertility issue in women of reproductive age of 18-30 years. If ignored this disease can create serious complications during pregnancy and cause endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart disease in women. Many of the affected women remain undiagnosed and there is very less knowledge in the society about controlling PCOS. Those of them who are clinically diagnosed are often confused, go with the traditional methods of taking pills for insulin sensitivity, hormones, etc which do not work in the long run. However, PCOS is a lifestyle disorder which can be completely controlled by making healthy lifestyle changes in nutrition, exercise and body activity, being less sedentary and there exist certain exercises of cardio, strength training, weight training, yoga poses, yoga therapy, pranayama, trekking and sports, and taking ayurvedic herbs, proper sleep routine, mind and stress management. All of this gives a holistic approach for controlling PCOS symptoms completely. The founder of our company has been herself been a survivor of PCOS and could completely control her symptoms by the right lifestyle changes. The PCOS Virago now has a team of nutritionists, gynecologists, and obstetricians, yoga therapists, ayurvedic doctors, fitness trainers, psychologists and mind experts who can provide women a personalized set of instructions and routine to control the symptoms completely. After doing a market need evaluation we have received about 270+ responses of women all over India within 12-13 days who are desperate to control PCOS, who are confused about what to do and would like to avail such a service. Also, our founder along with her personal story has helped many women control PCOD with proper guidance. We feel the service which we are providing will provide a great value by solving a major woman issue in the society, will help women get rid of symptoms like irregular menstruation, infertility, insulin resistance, weight gain, acne, facial hair, and depression to name a few and help them regain a hopeful life of fertility, femininity, health, and happiness.
