IHub-Data As a pioneering Technology Innovation Hub for data banks, data services, and data analytics (TIH-Data), IHub-Data, established by IIIT Hyderabad, stands out for its pivotal role in coordinating, integrating, and amplifying research in the expansive areas of data banks, data services, and data analytics under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) scheme (https://ihub-data.iiit.ac.in/).IHub-Data: IIIT-H and NM-ICPS IHub-Data has been created as a section 8 company that directly manages the data foundation, research and technology development, applied research and translation, human resource and skill development, innovation and startups, and international collaborations. The hub helps coordinate, integrate, and amplify basic and applied research in broad data-driven technologies and its dissemination and translation across the country. The hub will also intensely emphasize collaborating with international experts in associated areas. This will include joint research, visiting schemes for international experts, and involvement in the hub's processes and challenges. A series of workshops, conferences, and meetings are planned to bring global experts in direct contact with Indian researchers and students in associated areas. The six significant activities promoted by IHub-Data include: • Technology development • Data foundation • Applied research and translation • Human resource and skill development • Innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup ecosystem • International collaboration IHub-Data: Vision and Mission Our vision is to be a global leader in research outcomes that positively impact society through technologies translated into local industries and governmental agencies. We aim to play a central role in advancing and adopting data-driven technologies through proactive data bank curation and service creation strategies. We aspire to become the pre-eminent reference for datasets for AI researchers worldwide and develop solutions using these datasets to address population-scale challenges, resulting in significant societal impact. IHub-Data will help coordinate and enhance national research and solution development efforts in the data (banks, services, and analytics) areas and take them to the highest global academic standards. Applications towards the betterment of the society around us will have a particular focus at the hub, translating technologies into viable products and promoting startups based on those technologies. IHub-Data is committed to playing a central role in developing and penetrating data-driven technologies. With a proactive strategy in curating and creating data banks and services, the hub is shaping the future of data-driven technologies. IHub-Data is dedicated to catalyzing, nurturing, and enabling the growth of an ecosystem with researchers, technologists, practitioners, and entrepreneurs in data-driven solutions. The hub's unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration is at the core of its mission.
