With an increasing dependence on natural resources to produce metals for our mankind, the path towards progress brings exploitation and over-depletion of these resources. Incorporated on the 4th of March 2023, A S Bose aims to utilize ferrous scrap to produce 'recycled steel' for consumption across various sectors. Named 'Project EcoSteel', this would reduce dependence on natural resources like coal to produce 'new steel', thereby creating a balance between the consumption of natural resources and scrap metals for steel production, ensuring a sustainable future with lower carbon footprint. As a part of the Expansion process, the startup aims to integrate its verticals by investment in upstream, midstream and downstream steel solutions, creating significant control across the entire steel supply chain. During this phase, the startup would firstly research on utilizing Hydrogen for power generation apart from conventional energy resources. Secondly, establishing significant control in the logistics of the business. This would be achieved through investment in the Infrastructure sector by development of Ports, adequate roads and railway network. Furthermore, the startup would invest in the Energy sector that can generate energy through renewable as well as non-renewable energy resources. This would reduce dependence on external energy companies and control price fluctuations. In addition to the same, the startup would diversify through strategic investment in Industrial Manufacturing , and trade of commodities and engineering goods, thereby creating a major Commodities and Industrial Manufacturing conglomerate. The diversification would also involve investment in Handicrafts, Fashion, Textiles, Chemicals and E-Commerce to boost Indian MSME exports.
