"The technology that ACWIEPL will be using, is called “IOT Based Remote Diagnostic & Predictive Maintenance System (RDPMS)”, i.e. IOT Based RDPMS. The Objective of this technology: Power system components such as Power Generators, transformers and transmission line are critical, capital intensive assets. These components need to be extremely reliable. Extending the useful life of the power system components is now possible due to advances in measurement, monitoring and communication technology and high processing power available in today’s computers. It is therefore of paramount importance to continuously monitor the condition or health of the power system to deliver uninterrupted power to the consumers at competitive cost. IOT based condition monitoring provides a solid foundation for process and business optimization. This IOT based system will be providing the following advantages: 24 X 7 Remote Monitoring, Cost effective, Simplicity of Use and Early warnings, Elimination of Manual Inspection, Minimise Unplanned Downtime, Cloud storage of large amounts of data, Ability to use data from many machines and Savings-Manpower reduction and cost savings due to automated monitoring of Assets."
