Dvita Healthcare Private Limited (“DHPL” or “Dvita Eye Care” or the “Company”) was incorporated in 12 July 2021. The founders of DHPL are majorly from healthcare background, first being Dr. Satyajit Bose, Senior Cardiac Surgeon and well renowned entrepreneur in the healthcare delivery vertical along with Dr. Priyansha Chatterjee, a very seasoned Cataract Surgeon groomed in Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore and Dr. Rahul Bose, Cardiac Surgeon along with Ms. Sneha Bose, noted social worker. The Company was set up primarily to bring affordable, premium eye care services in the ROB region. There is an unmet need of an all-encompassing eye care institution in the cities and towns of Bengal and our vision is to bring here cutting-edge technology, premium service at affordable prices. The big hope is to have a day, when no one from Bengal takes a flight to Sankara Nethralaya Chennai for a simple cataract surgery or even a complicated retina procedure. The vision and mission of our company is set on the ethos of bringing top notch state of the art and latest in the field of ophthalmology and eye surgery to Eastern India. While the registered office is situated in Salt Lake, Kolkata, the first Eye Hospital is being built in Durgapur, West Bengal. Our Eye Hospital is housed in a spacious and centrally air-conditioned premise at the heart of Durgapur’s City Centre within an eminent neighborhood. The aim is to build a chain of hospitals in the days to come and the locations where DHPL would be targeting in the next couple of years are Asansol, Purulia, Bankura, Dhanbad, etc. The commercial operation date of the first Eye Hospital in Durgapur is scheduled during January 2022 and to accomplish this target, the promoters have already invested substantially from their own account. Once the hospital commences it’s operations, it shall become a tertiary eye care centre providing services like the latest phaco technology in cataract surgeries, state of the art retina surgeries and in future laser vision correction systems. In addition, we aim to reach out to the Pediatric school going population where a Myopia epidemic is waiting to explode especially since the shift to digital medium of education during the pandemic and Screening, early detection and treating all ends of the spectrum of Diabetic eye problems. Our ethos is to allow each eye to see the difference. Difference in the way we serve, treat and repeat. Our aim is that once you join the Dvita family, your eyes are our responsibility till the day you engage in the noblest act of donating them after you are gone. Maximizing the visual potential of each of the patients through quality treatment is the mission of our eye hospital. We are dedicated to providing a positive experience for our patients through thorough professionalism, positive attitude and efficient teamwork. The facility would also house the latest equipment for investigation, surgeries and post operative care apart from implementing the industry best IT systems and software for the least patient turn-around time and highest patient satisfaction levels. We have plans to take the present project “Dvita Eye Care” to multiple cities and district headquarters across Eastern India & beyond, based on core clinical competence and years of experience in managing healthcare along with quality. The list of medical equipment is also provided in this note for a better understanding of the type of facility that Dvita Eye Care intends to set up in Durgapur. To assist him, in this project his daughter in law, Dr. Priyansha Chatterjee DNB (Ophthalmology), also pursuing her PGDBM in IIM, Kolkata, is the chairperson of the Board. Having completed her DNB from the prestigious Narayana Nethralaya Eye Hospital in Bangalore and having worked in a robust organisation there, she plans to bring in the same work culture, International treatment protocols and best eye care surgeries to Eastern India. What began as a promise to stop the steady stream of efflux of patients to Southern India to obtain eye care thereby causing them a myriad of discomfort and expenses has now become the centre point of the company’s mission and vision statement. Being a successful cataract surgeon in practice for the last 3.5 years and having performed close to 1500 cataract surgeries she will spearhead the working of the hospital personally.
