Indian cities are plagued by huge pollutions. As a consequence, the citizens of country are suffering from respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, chronic lung infections…, posing a huge burden on the society and on the health related expenditure. Available therapies provide a palliative solution with major side effects and are quite far from providing curative solution. Recent research and clinical trial suggest that the Molecular H2can offer beneficial effectsthrough antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties without any side effects. However, present way of extracting H2 by hydrolysing fossil fuel, methane gas (CH4), is itself quite a polluting process (release of 8 kg of CO2 to produce 1 kg of H2) though the process is cheap. In addition, it is rare to obtain H2 in the form of medical purity as most often a low amount of carbon monoxide (CO) is mixed with it. Interestingly, Molecular H2 can easily be obtained in extremely pure form (99.9%) by just electrolyzing water on applying electricity between +ve and -ve electrodes. Electrolyzers are scalable, extremely safe, portable and most importantly they are on-demand. On-demand system does not rely on storage, thus negate the “bad” effects of H2 and it can provide gas for inhalation as the point of usage. Eliteck Hydrogen Resources Pvt. Ltd. position it-self as the manufacturer of such portables, safe, plug &play electrolyzers by a commercial name of Elicare®. The electrolyzer has already been tested by national testing house and registered as medical device in the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation(CDSCO). Eliteck Ind. Pvt. Ltd now explore the marketing of Elicare® though various novel strategies such as B2G, B2B and B2C.
