In their own words

We are developing sustainable animal feed from waste food and alternative sources by rendering food technology. At Sustainable Animal Feed Solutions, we envision a future where livestock feed production is not only economically viable but also environmentally sustainable. We are dedicated to creating a high-nutritional feed that contributes to livestock's well-being while minimizing the ecological footprint associated with traditional feed production.Multi-factor Challenges for livestock industries: The global demand for livestock products is increasing, but the availability of conventional feed resources is limited. This is leading to a rise in the cost of feed, which is putting a strain on the profitability of livestock farmers. Additionally, the use of conventional feed resources can contribute to environmental problems, such as deforestation and water pollution.1. Waste Food: One-third of the world's food is lost or wasted 1.3 billion tones annually.2. Growing Population: Projected- 8.5 billion in the world and 1.5 billion in India by 2030.3. Climate Change: landfills, which lead to greenhouse gas emissions from the waste of food.4. Economic loss: This amounts to over a billion tons of food and $940 billion in economic losses annually, while one in nine people remains undernourished. The estimated economic value of post-harvest losses in India was INR 926.51 billion (USD 15.19 billion) in 2014 (Jha et al. 2015).5. Food Security: By 2050, we must produce 60% more food to feed more people. But climate change and limited resources make it harder to grow enough food. 6. India's Protein Deficiency: 90% of the Indian population isn't aware of their daily protein requirements. 9 out of 10 people don't meet their daily protein requirements.7. High feed cost: Feed price and ongoing efforts to learn more about the available substitute feed ingredients Feed prices are certainly one of the industry’s biggest problems right now. Sourcing problem soybean: India is the world's largest importer of soybeans, and the high cost of soybeans has been a major challenge for the country's livestock industry.ADVANTAGES: Rendering food technology has both environmental and economic advantages towards sustainable development A. Environmental solution 1. Renewable food resources2. Reduces greenhouse gas emissions.3. Reduces landfills.4. Reduced pressure on traditional feed sources.5. Animal waste disposal.B. Economic Benefits: 1. Reduced costs for livestock producers2. Reduced food loss3. Increased food security4. Sustainable feed production technology5. Develop a circular economy.6. This not only helps in waste reduction but also maximizes the utilization of resources.2. Smart Mealworm Rearing: In addition to rendering technology, we leverage smart mealworm-rearing techniques to further enhance the protein content of our feed supplements. Mealworms are a natural and sustainable source of high-quality protein, and our smart rearing methods ensure optimal growth and nutrient composition.BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY:India's Animal Feed Market Size: INR 956.7 Billion in 2022 It expects the market to reach INR 1,578.2 Billion by 2028 and a growth rate (CAGR) of 8.2% during 2023-2028. i.
