In India alone 154 million elders are leading a vulnerable and disconnected life. Senior Citizens in India is growing very fast @326% (for 60+) and 700% for 80+, and it will be 320 million (190% overall growth) by 2050. As per SAGE report 27 million senior people need immediate specialized care. Some of the major reasons of their Hassles and disconnected life- 1. No Emergency Response System- No emergency routing system, Lack of Online Medical Records, Late detection due to senior staying alone. 2. Poor Health Monitoring- Transactional approach to health monitoring, Multiple comorbidities (at least two with 60+), Rise of chronic conditions. 3. Concerns about safety- High exposure to crime and hazards. Absence of home safety systems, homes and cities not designed for elders . 4. Loneliness Epidemic- Dwindling social support systems & nuclear families. Lack of elder friendly spaces and no or extremely limited support groups. 5. No Trusted Support System- Increasingly complex hassles of daily life. Lack of trusted service providers and fast changing technology. 6. Daily Living Hassles- Due to various mental and physical ailments they have become idle and immobile. There is a huge difficulty in getting the deliverable items like groceries, vegetables, medicine etc. So there is an urgent need to have an integrated Elder Care Operating system enabling elders to age comfortably. What is your target customer segment? India is a country of 110m Senior Citizens and over all growth is 190% (70+ growth is 326% and 80+ growth is 700%) as it is projected to reach 340m by 2050. Out of this entire senior population 43% are staying either absolutely alone or with spouse. Elderly population in Kolkata is the highest (17.8L) in the country @11.97% of total population (1.49 Cr) followed by Chennai (9.9%), Mumbai (8.9%), Delhi (7.8%), Bangalore (7.7%). Our Target customer in the first year is 7L from Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, Siliguri; 9.29 L in the second year from West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, 11.74L in the third year from West Bengal, JSR, BBSR, Pune. In the beginning of the fourth year, we shall expand into Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities of major states other than WB. We are targeting 12.5 L acquisition in 5th Year.
