What this record amounts to
NeuroHTz is a Startup India record we can place no finer than Kolkata district, which holds 11,431 records in this snapshot. 889 of those records are filed under Healthcare & Lifesciences, 8% of the district. It carries no funding signal of any class, which is true of 10,109 of the 11,431 records in Kolkata.
Every figure above is counted from the 2026-08 snapshot and is the same number the page it links to prints.
In their own words
NeuroHTz is a proposed neurotechnology-based screening system designed to explore early functional changes in brain activity associated with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. The project is based on emerging neuroscience evidence that early cognitive decline and Mild Cognitive Impairment are linked to disruptions in Gamma Oscillations, which play a critical role in attention, memory processing, and communication between different brain regions. Gamma rhythms, particularly around 40 Hz, are thought to coordinate neural networks involved in higher cognitive functions such as working memory, sensory integration, and information processing. Studies have shown that in the early stages of Alzheimer’s, these neural oscillations become less synchronised and less responsive to external stimulation. NeuroHTz aims to investigate whether measuring the brain’s response to controlled 40 Hz auditory stimulation can provide insight into early neural network dysfunction before severe cognitive symptoms appear. The core concept of NeuroHTz involves combining three components: gamma-frequency auditory stimulation, electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring, and gamified cognitive assessment. During the experiment, participants are exposed to carefully designed 40 Hz auditory stimuli delivered through headphones, which are intended to entrain or synchronise neural activity in the gamma frequency band. While this stimulation is applied, EEG sensors record the brain’s electrical activity to measure neural responses such as gamma power, phase synchronization, and connectivity between different brain regions. These neural indicators reflect how effectively the brain can synchronize with the external rhythmic stimulus. Healthy individuals typically show strong gamma entrainment, while individuals experiencing early cognitive decline may demonstrate weaker or unstable neural synchronisation. In addition to neural monitoring, NeuroHTz incorporates a set of interactive, gamified cognitive tasks that evaluate attention, working memory, and reaction speed. These tasks provide behavioural measures of cognitive performance before and after stimulation, allowing researchers to examine whether gamma entrainment influences cognitive efficiency.By integrating neural signals and behavioural data, NeuroHTz creates a multidimensional framework for assessing brain function. Unlike traditional diagnostic methods that rely primarily on structural brain imaging or invasive biomarker testing, this approach focuses on functional brain network dynamics, which may change earlier in the disease process. The system is designed to be non-invasive, relatively low-cost, and potentially scalable, using portable EEG devices and digital cognitive testing interfaces. Such characteristics make it suitable for research settings and potentially for future screening applications in clinical or community environments. In the long term, data collected through NeuroHTz could be analysed using computational models and machine learning techniques to identify patterns associated with early neural dysfunction. These insights could contribute to the development of accessible screening strategies for neurodegenerative diseases and improve our understanding of how gamma-frequency neural activity relates to cognitive health.

The neighbourhood
This record carries no locality line, so the district is the finest ring we can place it in.
What we do not know
- no CIN on file, so no company-registry record is linked
- no incorporation date
- no funding signal of any kind
- no address beyond the district
We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.
