Hi!!! Welcome to Pragmatist Education Solutions LLP, a startup, looking to disrupt the traditional coaching industry, especially the coaching for competitive examinations. As our name suggests, we are a startup working in the field of creating unique solutions in the education sector and securing last-mile delivery of services. For this purpose, we are making use of both the traditional offline teaching mechanism while improving the techniques and making them more engaging in nature and simultaneously using the newly evolving online mode of education by taking advantage of the internet and digital revolution in India. In fact, to be honest, we are focussing more on the online mode of education to ensure lesser amount of mobility of a candidate, to provide him/her the advantage of homeliness and also reduce the costing of staying away, and there by increasing the cost-effectiveness. By reading the above piece, it may seem that we are merely enablers in terms of providing technological solutions to other organisations who are actually creating capacity and providing services. Wrong. We, ourselves, are the service providers presently focusing on supplementary education, often called as coaching industry. By the way, let us make it clear here that there exists major difference between the field of supplementary education and the traditional coaching industry. In the traditional coaching industry, focus is given only towards fulfilling the obligation of teaching the syllabus of a particular course/examination for which the coaching is being provided. The idea of value creation/value addition and enable the student/candidate associated is never the concern. Whereas, in the field of supplementary education, the organisations, in the strictest possible sense, become enablers. Whereby along with providing coaching and guidance, they also create value for the candidates associated with them. This value can be in the form of hard skills, like vocational training, or soft skills, like communication skills and leadership training, Entreprenuerial skill development, etc. We, Pragmatist Education Solutions LLP, at present are working in the field of providing coaching and guidance to the aspirants of the coveted Civil Services of the country, formally called as Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Examination, conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). But, as we have mentioned above, that is not all. Unlike the traditional offline and online coaching and guidance providers, we focus on developing certain soft skills, intrinsically, within the course. Civil Services Examination, or IAS Examination, as it is called, attracts talents from across the board, where even the best talents of the country, from the IITs, IIMs, etc., also participate to join these coveted services. One can easily understand that not only the margin of error in this examination, is very less, but the level of competition is also very high. Naturally, if properly trained, certain soft skills can also create an added advantage for the candidates appearing in this examination. Simultaneously, these soft skills are also extremely necessary in the job market of India. The skills we are talking about are, (1) Communication skills, both (a) verbal communication & (b) non-verbal or written communication (writing skill, both in vernacular language and in English). (2) Leadership Training, which becomes extremely significant in terms of preparing someone for the personality test and creating the attitude of decision making and problem-solving. By the way, it is noteworthy here that we are trying to shape the courses by taking into consideration two major factors. 1. First priority is given to the requirement of the Civil Services Examination as it is conducted. 2. Secondly, we also consider the local aspects, like the comfortability of the candidates in terms of teaching medium, making the classes as interactive as possible, etc. To give effect to our vission, we have created two separate platforms, namely Current Affairs Review (https://www.currentaffairsreview.com) & Cognitate (https://www.cognitate.in). Where, Current Affairs Review is a free digital magazine, disseminating information and the basic necessary materials and guidance, free of cost, to create awareness about the examination and provide the aspirants, the initial tools that they need to start their journey. Cognitate, on the pther hand, is a specialised platform, providing quality guidance, both coaching for the examination and imparting the necessary additional skills, we mentioned above. About Us
