SPITBIT MANUFACTURING LLP
Kolkata, West Bengal
In their own words
Inspired from our Honorable Prime Minister’s Clean India Movement, I have conceptualized and created a patent-pending product ‘Spit Bit’, a Disposable Saliva Absorbent Pouch. India is the largest consumer of smokeless tobacco which largely includes chewing with areca nuts betel leaf. A person with a regular habit of chewing betel leaf tends to spit afterwards. The amount of saliva that is produced in person per day; estimates range from 0.75 to 1.5 litres per day. On an average, this amount estimates of 160 million litres of saliva spits to litter INDIA. Now considering some of these reports, the present product helps to prevent littering that happens because of regular spitting. Each pouch can be used to spit in and have the capacity to absorb saliva so produced while chewing, hence preventing littering of public places. Since the pouch can be sealed back, there are minimum chances of spillage and helps in maintaining personal hygiene. Once it has reached its maximum capacity, the pouch can be disposed of easily. This would help to keep streets of my nation clean.
