In their own words
Easycups, a women’s sanitary and hygiene brand, was born to tackle the ever-growing sanitary waste disposal problem and turn the entire process towards a more sustainable solution. The venture has been founded by Sashi Bothra, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, and by Kishan Barchha, an alumnus from the PGPM 20 batch of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. In India, only about 20% of women have access to Sanitary Hygiene products, and most women who have, use a sanitary pad, in a lifetime a woman could end up using almost 5000+ sanitary pads, and each of these take up to 500 years to decompose, imagine the amount of pollution caused. We aim to replace this with Menstrual Cups that are not only environment friendly, but also make the life of users much easier because of no rashes, leakages or odour issues and last up to 10 years. We would gradually introduce a series of other women hygiene products too.
